About me

Who TF am I??

Hello,

My name is Ryan. I am a "jack-of-all-nerdy-trades" based in the Bay Area, California.

My various activities and hobbies include photography, videography (including old and retro video gear), computers (programming, networking, IoT), radio technology & telecom, music, and cars!

I love doing random things and learning how to do stuff, because to me, it's valuable to me that I know how to do stuff rather than not.

I started photography back in 2022, and have been with my various other hobbies since I was a kid. I am currently a Geography student, learning about various mapping techniques and experimenting with ArcGIS.

I have knowledge in Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and FL Studio, and designing websites. I can also play the guitar and have limited (yet expanding) knowledge on Python and Java.

I hate to be cliche, I'm young but old. I have a lot of old and retro tech, and mostly photograph my work onto physical film. I have collections of vinyl records (which you can view!) and CDs, and I have been collecting old computers for a while. Older computes are so nostalgic to me and being able to actually use them is a whole can of worms.

I have film cameras, cameras that shoot onto floppy disks, CDs, flash cards, CF cards, VHS Tapes, Hi-8 and Digital8 tapes, DV Tapes, Sony Memory Sticks, and Betacam.

Even though I love old technology, I am still grateful for the new technology that we have in today's world. Like my newer computers, and newer cameras.

Without the modern technology that I have, I would not be able to capture the outputs from my various methods of shooting photos and videos, and post it to Instagram.

Thank you for visiting my weird website. I hope you learned something.
